Graduated from LHS:  1950 (K-12 schooling all done at Brick Elementary, formerly Lincoln’s only building).

College:  Eastern Michigan University (Michigan State Normal College), 1954.  M.A.—Wayne State University, 1960.  Penn State University: Doctorate 1976.

Current Occupation:  Retired in the 1990s.

Career Highlights:  Associate and full professor at college level.  Instructed at North Texas State University, Ball State University, Edinboro State University, and East Caroline State University.  Department chair and dean of fine arts.  Professor Emeritus—East Carolina University.  Public school teacher.

College:  Michigan State University, East Lansing; D.O., 1985.  Residency at Botsford Hospital, Farmington Hills completed 1993.  Fellowship completed 1994.

Current Occupation:  Orthopedic surgeon at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Career Highlights:  Published more than 20 articles for professional medical journals.  Has written some chapters for medical books.  Delivered over 30 papers at medical conventions.

College:  University of Tennessee:  B.S. Sports Management/Business Marketing, 1997.

Current Occupation:  Decathlete.

Career Highlights:  Ranked 2nd USA 2002.  Ranked 16th World 2002.  Two-time NCAA All-American.  Member USA Decathlon Team 1997-2002.  Best Decathlon score 8133.  Collegiate record holder Heptathlon 1995.  Honorary coach Special Olympics North Carolina and California.  San Diego Boys and Girls Club Mentor.  Competed in the 2002 Winter Olympic Bobsled Trials placing 6th in the Two-Man Competition and 4th in the Four-Man Competition.

Current Occupation:  Clerk Charter Township of Ypsilanti, 2000-2004.

Career Highlights:  Administrative Assistant to the   Supervisor of Charter Township of Ypsilanti.  Assistant to the General Manager Ypsilanti Radisson Hotel.  Chair of the Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA) since 2000.  Elected Trustee Charter Township of Ypsilanti 1988-1992.  Elected Clerk Charter Township of Ypsilanti 1992-1996, 1996-2000, 2000-2004.  Active in local, county, state, and federal election of Democratic candidates.  Past president of the Washtenaw County Clerks Association.

Associations: Member International Municipal Clerk’s Association.

Current Occupation:  Real estate sales for Real Estate One.

Career Highlights:  Over $275 million in career sales.  Top five of all-time real estate sales in Washtenaw County history.  Detroit Free Press Sales Success Recognition Award 2000.  Named by Insider Business Journal one of 50 Most Influential Business People in Washtenaw County 2001.  Real Estate One agent of the year 2001, 2002.  Real Estate One President’s Circle of Excellence 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002.  Named National Relocation Magazine Top 100 Agents in America.

College:  University of Michigan, Ann Arbor: B.S., Biology, 1999.  University of Michigan, Ann Arbor: M.D., 2003.  Class honors, 1997.  Merit Scholarship UM Medical School, 1999.

Current Occupation:  Resident physician at Oakwood Hospital.

Career Highlights:  Research assistant with Dr. D’Alecy at University of Michigan Medical School and received formal acknowledgement in two articles, summer 1993 and 1994.  Research assistant with Dr. Arterbery , summer 2000.  Mayo Clinic Minority Career Development Program, summer 2000.  Fitzbutler-Jones Program, summer 2000.

Associations:  Student National Medical Association, student member 1999-present.  Black Medical Association, president 2000-2001.  American Medical Student Association, student member 2002-present.

Current Occupation:  Director of Corporate Development for Ford Motor Company’s Human Resources.

Career Highlights:  Began employment with Ford Motor Company upon graduation.  Human Resources Director within 15 years; the youngest African-American female in Ford history to reach that level.  Public speaker to school age and college students on Interviewing Skills, Interpersonal Skills Training, and Conflict Management.  Judge for “Beat the Odds” program for disadvantaged youth.  Formerly Director, Human Resources Business Operations, Global Product Development and Quality

Current Occupation:  Doing residency as Internal medicine tracker at Genysys Regional Medical Center in Flint.

Career Highlights:  Michigan Osteopathic Association Representative to state capital to speak to lawmakers.  College tutor in anatomy.

Associations:  Member of Sigma Sigma Phi National Osteopathic Fraternity.  Secretary of Student Medical Society.  Member of Student Osteopathic Medical Association.  Member Pre-SMA.
